Description:
Schaft Creek is a proposed large-scale open-pit mining project in North Western BC. MMTS was involved in previous studies dating back to 2006. In 2013, MMTS was retained to address economic and technical challenges the project was facing in it’s Feasibility Study. Our experts re-ran schedules and pit designs, and implemented innovative mining methods that drastically improved project performance. The feasibility study results were good enough to get Teck Ltd.’s attention, and in 2013 they entered into a joint venture agreement with Copper Fox.
